In the 6th minute, Silvério Passos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FERTIFLORA FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Luisão Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Furtado in the 13th minute of play. Erivaldo Secco hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustão Furtado in the 15th minute of play forced San miguel's goalkeeper Luisão Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 minutes of play, FERTIFLORA FC's Faustão Furtado made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisão Motta was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Silvério Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot. FERTIFLORA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvério Passos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisão Motta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mateus Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Augusto Berger in the 28th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Augusto Berger was the one to do the kick off. Luisão Motta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
