Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paulo José Arruda started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Vila Ildemar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui da Silva to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute of the match Walmir Viana shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Luiz Alcântara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Celso dos Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Proença, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Luisão Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Dênis de Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jorge Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sílvio Luiz Alcântara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alex Sampaio went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Vila Ildemar FC's Dênis de Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38thth minute of the game Dênis de Toledo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costello's Celso dos Santos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Costello's Gildo Coelho got a free kick in the 38th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Vila Ildemar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo José Arruda came free, but Sílvio Luiz Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorge Proença to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Silas Damião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sílvio Luiz Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo José Arruda in the 57th minute of the match. Paulo José Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luiz Alcântara having to interfere. Anderson Fantini's late challenge caught a Costello's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anderson Fantini helped the player get up and apologised. Sílvio Luiz Alcântara went to the wrong direction when Walmir Viana was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Dênis de Toledo came free with the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Celso dos Santos could save by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Paulo José Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costello's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo José Arruda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Luiz Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94thth minute of the game Paulo José Arruda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vila Ildemar FC's Sílvio Luiz Alcântara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paulo José Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luiz Alcântara having to interfere. The Vila Ildemar FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Costello from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
