In the 9th minute of the match Cesinha Leme sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Mendes skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Elder Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. INF. FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elder Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Elder Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elder Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for INF. FC! After 23 minutes, Pedro Augusto de Carvalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INF. FC and the Flucarmo F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, INF. FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Augusto de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Cléberson Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 minutes, Zé Roberto Braga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INF. FC and the Flucarmo F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zé Roberto Braga hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Edu Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséias França in the 30th minute of play. When Pedro Augusto de Carvalho, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 33 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Luiz Mendes was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Flucarmo F.C's Marcel Marinho got a free kick in the 34th minute. Basílio Novaes, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Elder Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Augusto de Carvalho in the 39th minute of play forced Flucarmo F.C's goalkeeper Luiz Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elder Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the game, INF. FC's Pedro Augusto de Carvalho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Mendes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Oséias França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edu Sá having to interfere. Cléberson Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Edu Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oséias França to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Pedro Augusto de Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Mendes was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. William Viana's late challenge caught a Flucarmo F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. William Viana helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd match minute, INF. FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Viana to maneuver through the defense. Elder Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Mendes having to interfere. Marcel Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After 84 minutes, Gernando Simões mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flucarmo F.C and the INF. FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of INF. FC booed when Flucarmo F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gernando Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Augusto de Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Mendes having to interfere. Luiz Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Augusto de Carvalho's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Flucarmo F.C's goalkeeper Luiz Mendes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elder Guerra. INF. FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
