A collision led to LuKe FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. José Carlos Melo hit a great ball. The long shot by Zé da Rocha in the 15th minute really tested Luiz Teles's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Luisão Vaz came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Peruíbe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisão Vaz couldn't finish the play. Luiz Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denílson Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peruíbe FC's Raphael Pimenta got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th minute Luisão Vaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wesley Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisão Vaz in the 27th minute of play forced LuKe FC's goalkeeper Wesley Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Peruíbe FC fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Peruíbe FC's Luisão Vaz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Peruíbe FC booed when LuKe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Luisão Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peruíbe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luisão Vaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Denílson Félix made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luisão Vaz in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wesley Monteiro saved LuKe FC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rubinho Simão during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th minute, Rubinho Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute of the match Gernando Leite shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Teles showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 60th minute, Enéas Pirani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Teles was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Luisão Vaz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wesley Monteiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Luisão Vaz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 66th minute. Luisão Vaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Wesley Monteiro made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Carlos Melo in the 88th minute of play forced Peruíbe FC's goalkeeper Luiz Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Melo in the 90th minute of the match. Wesley Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luisão Vaz's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Félix in the 96th minute of play forced Peruíbe FC's goalkeeper Luiz Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peruíbe FC played a much better game than LuKe FC and deserved their victory. The LuKe FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
