Sílvio Luiz Alcântara was a little too slow when Tales de Andrade got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 12 played minutes, Traicao's Falcão Rezende shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Alcântara came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Traicao reached it. Dênis de Toledo's late challenge caught a Traicao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dênis de Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Traicao booed when Vila Ildemar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dênis de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vila Ildemar FC's Sílvio Luiz Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tales de Andrade in the 15th minute of play. If Andrézinho Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th match minute, Vila Ildemar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlinhos Sena to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Traicao's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Damião came free, but Afonso Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Silas Damião fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vila Ildemar FC's protests and gave Silas Damião a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Traicao booed when Vila Ildemar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silas Damião didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dênis de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Dante having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Vila Ildemar FC's Dênis de Toledo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrézinho Cardoso got free with Sílvio Luiz Alcântara in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tales de Andrade to make the kick off. Andrézinho Cardoso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sílvio Luiz Alcântara having to make a save. 55 minutes into the match, Traicao's Tales de Andrade sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sílvio Luiz Alcântara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Andrézinho Cardoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sílvio Luiz Alcântara was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. The Traicao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Dênis de Toledo struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Afonso Dante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vila Ildemar FC. Traicao's Afonso Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Proença in the 86th minute of play. Tales de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Vila Ildemar FC's zone, Tales de Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Luiz Alcântara came out of the goal and Tales de Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Traicao's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
