With his leg Aloísio Paulista managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Flucarmo F.C's Cléberson Neves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Jeremias Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. AD Academia Real's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremias Loureiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Marcel Marinho fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flucarmo F.C's protests and gave Marcel Marinho a yellow card for diving instead. Marcel Marinho hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Jacinto Paraibano charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacinto Paraibano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Flucarmo F.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! Flucarmo F.C:s Luiz Mendes showed great skill when he stopped Didi Godoi:s penalty. 27 minutes into the game, AD Academia Real's Naldo Barreto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Mendes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Naldo Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Luiz Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cléberson Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléberson Nevess short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Aloísio Paulista to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Naldo Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Cléberson Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half AD Academia Real were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Naldo Barreto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Oséias França who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AD Academia Real's Aloísio Paulista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jeremias Loureiros short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Luiz Mendes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Naldo Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Mendes having to interfere. The supporters of Flucarmo F.C booed when AD Academia Real was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Francisco da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oséias França might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aloísio Paulista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oséias França ran back to his position shaking his head. Flucarmo F.C's Luiz Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo Barreto in the 80th minute of play. When Marcel Marinho was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 80 minutes had been played. Marcel Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Luiz Mendes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeremias Loureiro in the 83rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as AD Academia Real's Jeremias Loureiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luiz Mendes. That made the score 1-3 after 86 minutes of play. If João Francisco da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléberson Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Aloísio Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
