Costello's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 16 played minutes Costello got a freekick which was hit by Paulo José Travassos. Paulo José Travassos kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Celso dos Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 29th minute, Gildo Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alex Sampaio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Charles Damião made a huge save. Thiago Leme was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. Almecegas's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After having played for 76 minutes, Alex Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costello's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Sampaio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Bruno de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Paulo Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Costello's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
