Daniel Zonta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luiz Alcântara having to interfere. Gustavo Proença made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Dênis de Toledo sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zonta might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sílvio Luiz Alcântara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zonta ran back to his position shaking his head. Sílvio Luiz Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernani Capixaba, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Dênis de Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Ildemar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dênis de Toledo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. After 40 minutes of play, Millwall FC's Daniel Zonta made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sílvio Luiz Alcântara was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Daniel Zonta came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Millwall FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zonta couldn't finish the play. After having played for 47 minutes, Daniel Zonta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Millwall FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zonta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hernani Capixaba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Sílvio Luiz Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, Hernani Capixaba notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Vila Ildemar FC's Sílvio Luiz Alcântara. Sílvio Luiz Alcântara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vila Ildemar FC's Jorge Proença got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dênis de Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute, Millwall FC's Marcel Vides ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sílvio Luiz Alcântara. Sílvio Luiz Alcântara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Vila Ildemar FC's Dênis de Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Millwall FC's Daniel Zonta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. The Vila Ildemar FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Millwall FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
