Luiz Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Viana in the 10th minute of the match. Anderson Faria might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edu Sá. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anderson Faria ran back to his position shaking his head. Zé Roberto Braga hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Luisão Vaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edu Sá was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. 19 minutes into the match, Peruíbe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Augusto de Carvalho came free, but Luiz Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Peruíbe FC's goalkeeper Luiz Teles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elder Guerra. After 32 minutes of play, Peruíbe FC's Anderson Faria made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edu Sá was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Augusto de Carvalhos short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Luiz Teles to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 38 minutes into the match, Elder Guerra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Teles. Peruíbe FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elder Guerra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. William Viana hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rdth minute of the game Luisão Vaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but INF. FC's Edu Sá was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luisão Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Edu Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Dida Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peruíbe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dida Sergipano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Pedro Augusto de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peruíbe FC's Luiz Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Augusto de Carvalho in the 87th minute of play. Luisão Vaz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Edu Sá skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 91st match minute, Peruíbe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Márcio Viana to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Luisão Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peruíbe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luisão Vaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edu Sá breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zé Roberto Braga was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to INF. FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Zé Roberto Braga hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisão Vaz got free with Edu Sá in the 99th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peruíbe FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
