Costello's Celso dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denílson Félix in the 9th minute of play. When Enéas Pirani came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the LuKe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enéas Pirani couldn't finish the play. Celso dos Santos made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Marcinho da Rocha sent off a good shot on target. After 22 played minutes LuKe FC got a freekick which was hit by José Carlos Melo. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Marcinho da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. LuKe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcinho da Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso dos Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 29 played minutes LuKe FC got a freekick which was hit by José Carlos Melo. Costello's Celso dos Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Costello from getting a goal against them.
