Andrézinho Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Jeremias Loureiro took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Afonso Dante to make any attempt to save it. In the 16th match minute, AD Academia Real was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvério Baiano to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute Naldo Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Tales de Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aloísio Paulista was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Traicao's Afonso Dante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Traicao from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute Naldo Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes AD Academia Real got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Loureiro. Thanks to some nice moves Jeremias Loureiro could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Afonso Dante however easily saved by the left post. Afonso Dante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Barreto in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tales de Andrade to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvério Baiano in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonso Dante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, AD Academia Real's Válbson Kohler got a free kick in the 57th minute. Jeremias Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Afonso Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeremias Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Traicao booed when AD Academia Real was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silas Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tales de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With 89 minutes on the clock, Raphael Tróia commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Traicao:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AD Academia Real:s goal. Didi Godoi shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Naldo Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Dante having to interfere. The Traicao supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Traicao would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
