When Elder Guerra came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the INF. FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elder Guerra couldn't finish the play. INF. FC's Edu Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis de Toledo in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Augusto de Carvalho was the one to do the kick off. If Jorge Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When INF. Vila Ildemar FC's Sílvio Luiz Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elder Guerra in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Vila Ildemar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elder Guerra came free, but Sílvio Luiz Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elder Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pedro Augusto de Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Luisão Fontes fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vila Ildemar FC's protests and gave Luisão Fontes a yellow card for diving instead. Sílvio Luiz Alcântara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Augusto de Carvalho's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Pedro Augusto de Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sílvio Luiz Alcântara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. There was no doubt that INF. FC were the better team. INF. FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
