Luiz Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléberson Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Peruíbe FC's Luisão Vaz in the 5th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Luiz Mendes was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Flucarmo F.C through an amazing save. After 10 minutes of play, Flucarmo F.C's Oséias França made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Teles was left in no man's land by his defense there! With his leg Luiz Mendes managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Peruíbe FC's Luisão Vaz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Peruíbe FC's Anderson Faria got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Mendes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luisão Vaz in the 23rd minute. Luiz Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisão Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 29 played minutes Flucarmo F.C got a freekick which was hit by José Vítor Toledo. In the 30th minute of the match Jano Cardoso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Mendes skillfully saved the ball. After 31st play minutes Luisão Vaz shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Luiz Mendes and just under the crossbar into goal. After 34 played minutes Flucarmo F.C got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Marinho. Luiz Mendes stood somewhat misplaced when Luisão Vaz came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 36 minute. A collision led to Flucarmo F.C getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Marcel Marinho hit a great ball. After 41 played minutes Peruíbe FC got a freekick which was hit by Hílton Sousa. Clóvis Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oséias França to make the kick off. Anderson Faria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes into the game, Anderson Faria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Luiz Mendes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 66 minutes into the match, Flucarmo F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Anderson Faria came free, but Luiz Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Marinho got free with Luiz Teles in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd match minute, Peruíbe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hílton Sousa to maneuver through the defense. If Luisão Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 77thth minute of the game Luisão Vaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flucarmo F.C's Luiz Mendes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 82 played minutes Peruíbe FC got a freekick which was hit by Dida Sergipano. If Anderson Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Peruíbe FC's Luisão Vaz in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Flucarmo F.C's goalie prevented a goal. Luiz Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luisão Vaz's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. When Peruíbe FC's Luisão Vaz in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Flucarmo F.C's goalie prevented a goal. Luiz Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luisão Vaz's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Peruíbe FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
