The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Almecegas booed when INF. FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thiago Leme got free with Edu Sá in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Charles Damião showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Augusto de Carvalho in the 10th minute of the match. Charles Damião came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by INF. FC's Elder Guerra. But to his dismay, Elder Guerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thiago Leme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Edu Sá made a huge save. Thiago Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edu Sá having to interfere. Charles Damião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elder Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When Zé Roberto Braga fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored INF. FC's protests and gave Zé Roberto Braga a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, Zé Roberto Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, INF. FC's Edu Sá got control of the ball when Thiago Leme tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elder Guerra hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After the first half INF. FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Pedro Augusto de Carvalho made the kick off in the second half. INF. FC's Elder Guerra got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Augusto de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Charles Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edu Sá having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno de Alcântara in the 62nd minute of play forced INF. FC's goalkeeper Edu Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Almecegas's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Augusto de Carvalho came free, but Charles Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severino Dantas kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Elder Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. INF. FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elder Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles Damião breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Pedro Augusto de Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the INF. FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Augusto de Carvalho couldn't finish the play. Elder Guerra in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Charles Damião, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Roberto Braga got free with Charles Damião in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Bruno de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Roberto Braga was shown his second yellow card after 85 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 86th minute, Zé Roberto Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elder Guerra scored 0-2 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charles Damião, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 95 minutes into the match, Almecegas's goal looked a bit too open when Elder Guerra came free, but Charles Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charles Damião made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elder Guerra in the 97th minute. The Almecegas fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. INF. FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
