Paulo Renato Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henrique Breckenfeld took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aírton Falcão. Aírton Falcão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Paulo Renato Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 39 minutes, Adrianinho Salgado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rifaina and the 100 CHANCE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aírton Falcão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reynaldo Félix to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored 100 CHANCE's protests and gave Paulo Renato Freire a yellow card for diving instead. Paulo Renato Freire hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Rubinho Aparecido struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Joaquim Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rifaina. 70 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Félix dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aírton Falcão, 0-3. In the 77th minute Rubinho Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
