Spectators: 5100 (Terracing: 4050, Seating: 1040, VIP seats: 10) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Laerte Vargas started the match with the kick off. After having played for 5 minutes, Laerte Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ITUIUTABA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laerte Vargas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Enio Nóbrega's late challenge caught a ITUIUTABA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enio Nóbrega helped the player get up and apologised. Enio Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Paulista in the 7th minute of play forced London do Sertão's goalkeeper Guga Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Zé Paulo Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guga Peixoto came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by ITUIUTABA FC's Zé Paulo Albuquerque. But to his dismay, Zé Paulo Albuquerque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alessandro Alvarenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alessandro Alvarenga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hortêncio da Fonseca in the 22nd minute. If Marcos Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Ciro Motta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ITUIUTABA FC's Alessandro Alvarenga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save ITUIUTABA FC from getting a goal against them. Sidney Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Guga Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guga Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Neiva in the 34th minute of play. Zé Paulo Albuquerque took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guga Peixoto. Guga Peixoto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur de Alcântara in the 43rd minute of play forced London do Sertão's goalkeeper Guga Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hortêncio da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Alessandro Alvarenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Arthur de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga Peixoto having to interfere. In the 57th minute, ITUIUTABA FC's Sidney Neiva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Guga Peixoto was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Marcos Paulista capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcos Paulista really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Marcos Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enio Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, London do Sertão's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Vargas came free, but Guga Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antônio Carlos Quintal charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antônio Carlos Quintal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of London do Sertão booed when ITUIUTABA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Carlos Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laerte Vargas in the 77th minute of play forced London do Sertão's goalkeeper Guga Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Paulo Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Guga Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 81 played minutes London do Sertão got a freekick which was hit by Enio Nóbrega. If Zé Paulo Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guga Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Paulo Albuquerque in the 85th minute of play. Marcos Paulista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Guga Peixoto made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laerte Vargas in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guga Peixoto saved London do Sertão from getting behind. 93 minutes into the match, London do Sertão's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Paulo Albuquerque came free, but Guga Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. London do Sertão's Guga Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Paulo Albuquerque in the 94th minute of play. Guga Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laerte Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. ITUIUTABA FC played a much better game than London do Sertão and deserved their victory. The London do Sertão players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
