The referee showed Gilmar Alves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to JL Sport Clube getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Gilmar Alves hit a great ball. Denílson de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 0-1 became the score in the 24th minute when Denílson de Senna elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind JL Sport Clube's goalkeeper Sidnei Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Luís Fabiano Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Michel Soeiro came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Alice Futebol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel Soeiro couldn't finish the play. If Denílson de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denílson de Senna to strike the kick off in the second half. Alice Futebol Club's Denílson de Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Denílson de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nico de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percy Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percy Linhares in the 61st minute of play forced Alice Futebol Club's goalkeeper Nico de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Percy Linhares fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JL Sport Clube's protests and gave Percy Linhares a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th match minute, JL Sport Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy Linhares to maneuver through the defense. Alice Futebol Club's Nico de Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percy Linhares in the 70th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in JL Sport Clube's zone, Renan Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidnei Santos came out of the goal and Renan Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the game, Percy Linhares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nico de Queiroz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gilmar Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico de Queiroz having to interfere. Renan Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Santos having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, JL Sport Clube's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Denílson de Senna fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Michel Soeiro took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sidnei Santos. Sidnei Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Nico de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percy Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute Percy Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Percy Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alice Futebol Club's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
