The audience thought a goal was coming when Valério Tande got free with Severino Trevisan in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FLAurca's Diogo Negri got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th minute, Arnaldo de Souza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iuri Vidal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. FLAurca's Abelardo Souto quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Olavo Urbano, made in the 25th minute of the game. In the 28th minute, Carlos de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FLAurca's Arnaldo de Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36thth minute of the game Abelardo Souto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but T. Rex Maverick FC's Iuri Vidal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Diogo Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Iuri Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Vítor Medeiros was the one to do the kick off. Diogo Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Iuri Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Diogo Negri reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Iuri Vidal. The goal made the score 0-2. Iuri Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnaldo de Souza struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Iuri Vidal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FLAurca. When Diogo Negri came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the FLAurca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diogo Negri couldn't finish the play. 77 minutes into the match, T. Rex Maverick FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diogo Negri came free, but Iuri Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 83 minutes, Arnaldo de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FLAurca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnaldo de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The T. Rex Maverick FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FLAurca were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
