Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Raúl Paraibano took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Delfim França managed to get in a good position for a shot. Varzedo's supporters rose to their feet, but Delfim França was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Paulo Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 4 minutes, Juvenal Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varzedo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juvenal Maranhense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fausto de Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doni Teixeira took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto de Brito. Fausto de Brito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Delfim França could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Zé Paulo Costa made a huge save. Fausto de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro do Valle in the 21st minute of play. Adelino Secco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Delfim França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the game, Doni Teixeira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Fausto de Brito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Varzedo's Delfim França got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raúl Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Zé Paulo Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dieguinho Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Paulo Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Abelardo Antunes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Zé Paulo Costa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Zé Paulo Costa was a little too slow when Raúl Paraibano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Doni Teixeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Angelo Luz's late challenge caught a Varzedo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Luz helped the player get up and apologised. After 55 played minutes Black Sails got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Luz. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauro do Valle during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mauro do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Abelardo Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 63 minutes, Delfim França managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varzedo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delfim França was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th match minute, Black Sails was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Augusto Simões to maneuver through the defense. After 65 played minutes Varzedo got a freekick which was hit by Juvenal Maranhense. In the 67th minute, Abelardo Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Varzedo getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Abelardo Antunes hit a great ball. Doni Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Black Sails's Mauro do Valle pulled a muscle in his leg after 84 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 84 minutes, Abelardo Antunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varzedo and the Black Sails players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th minute, Abelardo Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 90 minutes, Abelardo Antunes made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Black Sails's Zé Paulo Costa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Black Sails's Zé Paulo Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Paraibano in the 93rd minute of play. Abelardo Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Zé Paulo Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Varzedo booed when Black Sails was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Augusto Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute Varzedo were awarded a corner. Delfim França went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Varzedo's Delfim França to fire away a dangerous shot which Zé Paulo Costa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Varzedo were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Black Sails to leave the ground with a draw.
