Thiago Meirelles came out of the goal and Andrézinho Travassos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicolas Neto took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Augusto Fontes. José Augusto Fontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Daniel Rezende fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flamengo's protests and gave Daniel Rezende a yellow card for diving instead. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Nicolas Neto sped through Flamengo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of José Augusto Fontes. After having played for 32 minutes, Horácio Secco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flamengo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horácio Secco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thiago Meirelles didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 36th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. After 38 minutes, Fiori Zanette mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flamengo and the Beauty Nathy F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Beauty Nathy F.C. booed when Flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiori Zanette didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Beauty Nathy F.C.'s goalkeeper Thiago Meirelles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horácio Secco. In the 43rd match minute, Beauty Nathy F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeferson Bastos to maneuver through the defense. Norberto Passos, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Thiago Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrézinho Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If Andrézinho Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrézinho Travassos to make the kick off. Adriano da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. José Augusto Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Andrézinho Travassos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flamengo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Secco in the 71st minute of play forced Beauty Nathy F.C.'s goalkeeper Thiago Meirelles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Beauty Nathy F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Andrézinho Travassos came free, but Thiago Meirelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beauty Nathy F.C.'s Thiago Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrézinho Travassos in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Horácio Secco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flamengo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Thiago Meirelles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrézinho Travassos in the 83rd minute of the match. After 83 minutes of play Beauty Nathy F.C.'s Jeferson Bastos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Jeferson Bastos kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. When Andrézinho Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Flamengo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrézinho Travassos couldn't finish the play. 87 minutes into the match, Beauty Nathy F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Horácio Secco came free, but Thiago Meirelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
