Tales Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tales Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Negri in the 9th minute of the match. A collision led to FLAurca getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Naldo Senna hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the game, Wiliam Vargas threw the ball into play from the sideline. FLAurca's Manoel Lara quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 18th minute Manoel Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tales Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Souto scored 1-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tales Baiano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FLAurca's Abelardo Souto got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Salvarano's zone, Naldo Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tales Baiano came out of the goal and Naldo Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diogo Negri was the one to do the kick off. Abelardo Souto hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Abelardo Souto might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tales Baiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abelardo Souto ran back to his position shaking his head. Abelardo Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Tales Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute FLAurca were awarded a corner. Guto Prestes went to the cornerflag to take it. Caco Linhares was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. A throw-in in the 76th minute of the game was made by Ciro Andrade with Danilo Lopez as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Nico Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Trevisan having to interfere. When Arnaldo de Souza came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the FLAurca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo de Souza couldn't finish the play. Caco Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tales Baiano having to interfere. After having played for 89 minutes, Naldo Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FLAurca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Naldo Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnaldo de Souza might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tales Baiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnaldo de Souza ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guto Prestes during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Severino Trevisan came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Salvarano's Nico Recife. But to his dismay, Nico Recife quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Salvarano were victorious despite being under pressure from FLAurca for much of the match.
