Simão Cearense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Tinoco in the 7th minute of the match. If Filipe Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. César Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Amílton Custódio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filipe Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Cearense having to interfere. If André Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardinho Siqueira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Simão Cearense. Inmigrantes FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Raí Sarmento hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Inmigrantes FC's Simão Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Furlan in the 31st minute of play. Amílton Custódio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Vander in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute Tony Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílton Custódio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Filipe Tinoco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. André Furlan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 47 in the game by Tony Rocha from a close distance when the talented Amílton Custódio managed to make a qualified save. Suspiro's players were relieved. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elias Vander to make the kick off. Elias Vander's late challenge caught a Suspiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elias Vander helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 played minutes Inmigrantes FC got a freekick which was hit by Elias Vander. Tony Rocha struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Amílton Custódio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inmigrantes FC. Elias Vander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amílton Custódio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute Tony Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílton Custódio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inmigrantes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tony Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 91 minutes, Manfredo Fantini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Suspiro and the Inmigrantes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Inmigrantes FC booed when Suspiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfredo Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Murillo Sousa, 92 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Inmigrantes FC's zone, André Furlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Cearense came out of the goal and André Furlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Suspiro eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
