Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marcus Veloso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 9 played minutes Rodonopolis got a freekick which was hit by Vitinho Negri. 13 minutes into the match, Rodonopolis's goalkeeper Marcus Veloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Novaes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilson Cordeiro in the 15th minute of play forced Sitinho's goalkeeper Róbson Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Róbson Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilson Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Cláudio Baiano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Róbson Valle having to make a save. In the 20th minute Nilson Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbson Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Romeu Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 29 minutes, Carlos Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sitinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Novaes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sitinho's Romeu Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Sitinho's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Baiano came free, but Róbson Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geraldo Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Róbson Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Sitinho's goal looked a bit too open when Nilson Cordeiro came free, but Róbson Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

With 52 minutes on the clock, Diogo Furlan commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. If Romeu Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeu Sena in the 62nd minute of play forced Rodonopolis's goalkeeper Marcus Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Romeu Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcus Veloso came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Sitinho's Carlos Novaes. But to his dismay, Carlos Novaes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeu Sena in the 71st minute of play forced Rodonopolis's goalkeeper Marcus Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sitinho's Carlos Novaes got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Wesley Koehler fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rodonopolis's protests and gave Wesley Koehler a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sitinho booed when Rodonopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcus Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Novaes in the 75th minute of play. If Carlos Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Carlos Novaes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Veloso was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. After 79 minutes, Geraldo Teixeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rodonopolis and the Sitinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Rodonopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geraldo Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Novaes took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcus Veloso. Marcus Veloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rodonopolis's goalkeeper Marcus Veloso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Romeu Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Marcus Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Sitinho players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
