Londrina Esporte Clube's Humberto Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Silva in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute of the match Frédson Bittencourt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Humberto Teles showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Pedro de Godoi fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sampa Team's protests and gave Pedro de Godoi a yellow card for diving instead. Leonardo Gomes came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Paulo Leme could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeu Silva in the 20th minute of play forced Londrina Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Humberto Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonardo Gomes struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Paulo Leme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Londrina Esporte Clube. 33 minutes into the match, Sampa Team's goal looked a bit too open when João Francisco Velloso came free, but Paulo Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Francisco Velloso in the 83rd minute of play forced Sampa Team's goalkeeper Paulo Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Londrina Esporte Clube booed when Sampa Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glauco Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball.
