In the 7th minute, Eurico Sena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galo Cego FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Eurico Sena scored 2-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osvaldinho Damião, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aílton Dante scored 2-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sandrinho Paiva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Osvaldinho Damião was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eurico Sena showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 21 minute of play. Galo Cego FC's Sandrinho Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toninho Paraibano in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Gugu Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandrinho Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandrinho Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toninho Paraibano in the 29th minute of the match. Sandrinho Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu Duarte in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th play minute Eurico Sena came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Osvaldinho Damião. 4-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eurico Sena got free with Osvaldinho Damião in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eurico Senas short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Osvaldinho Damião to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Eurico Sena came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Galo Cego FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eurico Sena couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eurico Sena in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osvaldinho Damião prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Osvaldinho Damião took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Diniz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cristian Diniz fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galo Cego FC's protests and gave Cristian Diniz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Cristian Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eurico Sena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osvaldinho Damião having to make a save. When Galo Cego FC's Amauri Chaves in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Meaipe's goalie prevented a goal. Eurico Sena took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Osvaldinho Damião. Osvaldinho Damião dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Osvaldinho Damião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico Sena in the 71st minute of play. Osvaldinho Damião didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eurico Sena went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Meaipe's zone, Eurico Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldinho Damião came out of the goal and Eurico Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amauri Chaves in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osvaldinho Damião prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Eurico Sena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldinho Damião was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Sandrinho Paiva came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Meaipe's Toninho Paraibano. But to his dismay, Toninho Paraibano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eurico Sena in the 97th minute of play forced Meaipe's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
