C. booed when Confiança was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeferson Madureira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonas Eger took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sílvio Luís Freire. Confiança's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A hard and well directed shot from Jeferson Madureira led 21 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. BARRETÃO E. C.'s Jorge de Andrade became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, Rui Vale dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jorge de Andrade, 2-0. Aírton Brito's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Jorge de Andrade skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 33rdth minute of the game Dalmo Alagoano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Confiança's Sílvio Luís Freire was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 36th minute, Noel de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aírton Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Jorge de Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Aírton Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Confiança's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aírton Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge de Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rui Vale to strike the kick off in the second half. Sílvio Luís Freire made an important save on a dangerous shot by Délio Velasco in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute Rui Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Confiança's Jeferson Madureira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for BARRETÃO E. C.. Rui Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge de Andrade having to interfere. BARRETÃO E. C.'s Jorge de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Vale in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Confiança booed when BARRETÃO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor do Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the BARRETÃO E. C. defense, Rui Vale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge de Andrade. The BARRETÃO E. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge de Andrade should have stopped the shot. In the 68th minute of the match Jeferson Madureira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge de Andrade showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Aírton Brito sped through BARRETÃO E. C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jorge de Andrade. Jorge de Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Jorge de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton Brito in the 87th minute of the match. After 89 minutes BARRETÃO E. C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jeferson Madureira who took care of the corner kick.
