The S.E. Caeté fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when S.E. Caeté's Délio Paraíba looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Confiança booed when S.E. Caeté was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulão Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Douglas Marques hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 16thth minute of the game Délio Paraíba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Confiança's Sílvio Luís Freire was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th minute Noel de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Confiança getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jeferson Madureira hit a great ball. Sílvio Luís Freire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio Paraíba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Benedito Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.E. Caeté's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedito Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Luís Freire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aírton Brito in the 37th minute of play forced S.E. Caeté's goalkeeper Ismael Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Confiança booed when S.E. Caeté was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rony Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rony Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. If Benedito Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The wind increased when Délio Paraíba made the kick off in the second half. Délio Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ismael Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel de Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Jeferson Madureira charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeferson Madureira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Confiança's Jeferson Madureira got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 65thth minute of the game Délio Paraíba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Confiança's Sílvio Luís Freire was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. But to his dismay, Benedito Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Délio Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Caeté's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Vale came free, but Ismael Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute Ruy Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Confiança's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because S.E. Caeté had won, even though Confiança had held more of the ball.
