Sephiroth FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Pedroso the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sephiroth FC's Dráuzio de Queiroz got a free kick in the 37th minute. When Reinaldo Loyola came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Sephiroth FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinaldo Loyola couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dráuzio de Queiroz got free with Claudinho Vargas in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
