The audience thought a goal was coming when Vágner Medeiros got free with Valdir Pereira in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Dorian Sergipano took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Valdir Pereira to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 39 minutes, Wilian Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barre Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilian Mota was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Barre Futebol Clube's Dorian Sergipano was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 41st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Vágner Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
