Sitia EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ademar Monteiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osvaldo Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Gaspar in the 71st minute of the match. When Marco Lopez came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Arranca Toco FC fans jumped to their feet. Arranca Toco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sitia EC the free kick. In the 79th match minute, Arranca Toco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luís Barral to maneuver through the defense. Osvaldo Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the match, Arranca Toco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Gaspar came free, but Osvaldo Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
