Giovanni Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Soares in the 22nd minute of play. Anselmo Moraes charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anselmo Moraes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Apolo FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Anselmo Moraes hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Luís Paulo Palmeira made a precise shot to the right of Silas Sá. Apolo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Silas Sá stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Paulo Palmeira's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Apolo FC's Tomé Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silas Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Paulo Palmeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Toheroa's corner Cesinha Alvarenga fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Silas Sá quite easily take care of the ball.

The wind increased when Luís Paulo Palmeira made the kick off in the second half. Ronaldo Aguiar kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. With a little luck, Apolo FC's Silas Sá got control of the ball when Rodrigo de Queiroz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomé Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Giovanni Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes in the game Cesinha Alvarenga did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ramiro Trancoso. 63 minutes into the match, Apolo FC's goalkeeper Silas Sá had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo de Queiroz. When Marquinhos Negri fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Toheroa's protests and gave Marquinhos Negri a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Apolo FC's Anselmo Freitas got a free kick in the 70th minute. Cesinha Alvarenga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Silas Sá. Apolo FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 75th match minute, Toheroa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Adriano Soares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giovanni Britto was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Silas Sá came out of the goal and Rodrigo de Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cesinha Alvarenga made in the 91st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ramiro Trancoso. Giovanni Britto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adriano Soares's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. The audience was convinced that Adriano Soares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giovanni Britto was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Apolo FC had played much better football throughout.
