After a defensive mix-up in Arranca Toco FC's zone, Sebastião Motta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Lago came out of the goal and Sebastião Motta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Pixe fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Pixe's Sebastião Motta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Arranca Toco FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pixe were winning 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Carlos Saldanha was the one to do the kick off. Marco Lopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute Marco Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo José Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 58 played minutes Pixe got a freekick which was hit by Zé Carlos França. When Marco Lopez came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Arranca Toco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Lopez couldn't finish the play. 69 minutes into the game, Conrado Vale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pixe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arranca Toco FC the free kick. A collision led to Pixe getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Conrado Vale hit a great ball. Osvaldo Lago was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Geovani Arruda showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 71 minute of play. João Carlos Saldanha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo José Vaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Paulo José Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Saldanha in the 90th minute of the match. João Carlos Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo José Vaz having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pixe walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
