The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Asgard FC's Giovanni Quadros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Asgard FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Ademar Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sitia EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ademar Monteiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giovanni Quadros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Charles Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Charles Prestes came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Asgard FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Prestes couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute of the match Richard Rocha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Renatinho Freitas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 19th match minute, Sitia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fabiano Moura to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th match minute, Asgard FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos Valle to maneuver through the defense. If Ademar Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sitia EC's Eduardo Gaspar in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Eduardo Gaspar might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giovanni Quadros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduardo Gaspar ran back to his position shaking his head. Charles Prestes might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Renatinho Freitas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Charles Prestes ran back to his position shaking his head. Charles Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renatinho Freitas having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marquinhos Valle to make the kick off. A collision led to Sitia EC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Alfredinho Soares hit a great ball. Renatinho Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Charles Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot. After a defensive mix-up in Asgard FC's zone, Ademar Monteiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giovanni Quadros came out of the goal and Ademar Monteiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the match, Eduardo Gaspar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giovanni Quadros. Asgard FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eduardo Gaspar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Osvaldinho Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. If Ademar Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giovanni Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Gaspar in the 80th minute of play. If Marquinhos Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 87 played minutes Sitia EC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredinho Soares. 89 minutes into the match, Sitia EC's goal looked a bit too open when Marquinhos Valle came free, but Renatinho Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charles Prestes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Asgard FC's Marquinhos Valle got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sitia EC's goalkeeper Renatinho Freitas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Charles Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renatinho Freitas having to interfere. Charles Prestes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sitia EC had won after a very even match.
