After a rather tough play, Rancatoco F.C.'s Pedrinho Sergipano got a free kick in the 20th minute. Rodrigo de Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Rancatoco F.C. booed when Toheroa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquinhos Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giovanni Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elder Mattos in the 30th minute of the match. If Luís Paulo Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Luís Paulo Palmeira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Antônio Carlos Matorin. That made the score 2-0 in the 33 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Paulo Palmeira in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antônio Carlos Matorin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Rodrigo de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Toheroa's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo de Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antônio Carlos Matorin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Luís Paulo Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Paulo Palmeira in the 42nd minute of play forced Rancatoco F.C.'s goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos Matorin having to interfere. A collision led to Rancatoco F.C. getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Hugo Nunes hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elder Mattos made a kick off. Pedrinho Sergipano hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute Cesinha Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Matorin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Aírton Bertassi fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Ronaldão Soares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giovanni Britto having to make a save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Toheroa fully deserved thier win.
