Luís Paulo Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giovanni Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Rodrigo de Queiroz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cristiano Reis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Bascow FC's Gilson Abraão got a free kick in the 20th minute. Toheroa's Cesinha Alvarenga couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bascow FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Paulo Palmeira in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Reis saved Bascow FC from getting behind. The supporters of Toheroa booed when Bascow FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amauri Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodrigo de Queiroz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristiano Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Rodrigo de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Cristiano Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toheroa's Felipe Nogueira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cristiano Reis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo de Queiroz in the 47th minute of play forced Bascow FC's goalkeeper Cristiano Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Paulo Palmeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rodrigo de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Reis having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Luís Paulo Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Toheroa's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Paulo Palmeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristiano Reis came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Toheroa's Rodrigo de Queiroz. But to his dismay, Rodrigo de Queiroz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After having played for 72 minutes, Luís Paulo Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toheroa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Paulo Palmeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristiano Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Paulo Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The audience was convinced that Luís Paulo Palmeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Reis was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. After 83rd play minutes Luís Paulo Palmeira shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Cristiano Reis and just under the crossbar into goal. Bascow FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Luís Paulo Palmeira scored to the left of an out of position Cristiano Reis, making the score, 1-4. If Luís Paulo Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Bascow FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Toheroa were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
