With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maurício Bittencourt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 79th minute of the match Basílio Negri shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdir Pereira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Willian Pires took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maurício Bittencourt. Bezerras SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bezerras SS were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Manaós's much stronger midfield.
