The referee ignored Bascow FC's protests and gave Franklin Faria a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes Bascow FC got a freekick which was hit by Franklin Faria. Cristiano Reis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marquinhos Valle's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 9th minute, Bebeto da Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristiano Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Valle in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Asgard FC's goal looked a bit too open when Franklin Faria came free, but Giovanni Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Maria Dantas got free with Giovanni Quadros in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giovanni Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Faria in the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of Bascow FC booed when Asgard FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldinho Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giovanni Quadros made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Maria Dantas in the 24th minute. If Franklin Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldinho Gomes charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osvaldinho Gomes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Osvaldinho Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 35th minute Franklin Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Marquinhos Valle made a precise shot to the right of Cristiano Reis. Bascow FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marquinhos Valle to strike the kick off in the second half. Marquinhos Valle might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristiano Reis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marquinhos Valle ran back to his position shaking his head. Franklin Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 62nd minute, Charles Prestes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Asgard FC's Marquinhos Valle got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Maria Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Maria Dantas in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giovanni Quadros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquinhos Valle in the 79th minute of play forced Bascow FC's goalkeeper Cristiano Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes in the game, Charles Prestes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cristiano Reis having to interfere. Marquinhos Valle struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Cristiano Reis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Asgard FC. When Marquinhos Valle got free in front of the goal in the 86th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Cristiano Reis was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Charles Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Cristiano Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
