Remo Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, R F Futebol Clube's Germano Loureiro got a free kick in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauan de Almeida in the 33rd minute of play forced R F Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Germano Loureiro charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 54 minutes, Remo Capixaba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vasco da Gama and the R F Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valdomiro Passos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vasco da Gama were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
