Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Caio Souza kicked off to start the match. Marcelinho de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Osmar Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kauan de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aílton Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After 10 played minutes Lamacre SC got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Vale. When Vasco da Gama's Caio Souza in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lamacre SC's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Lamacre SC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Marcelinho de Mendonça hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Aílton Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vasco da Gama's Caio Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kauan de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Siqueira came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Vasco da Gama's Caio Souza. But to his dismay, Caio Souza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alberto Siqueira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kauan de Almeida went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. When Kauan de Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Vasco da Gama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kauan de Almeida couldn't finish the play. Alberto Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauan de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 40th match minute, Lamacre SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Guilherme Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute of the match Ernani Luz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alberto Siqueira skillfully saved the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Kauan de Almeida had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alberto Siqueira. Lamacre SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kauan de Almeida was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. A collision led to Vasco da Gama getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Olívio Sampaio hit a great ball. The Lamacre SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vasco da Gama were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Jarbas Arantes made the kick off in the second half. Vasco da Gama were furious when Samuca de Castro was red carded, 57 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Paulo Renato Brodel walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarbas Arantes in the 63rd minute of play forced Vasco da Gama's goalkeeper Osmar Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Remo Capixaba cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Alberto Siqueira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Vasco da Gama's zone, Kauan Arantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osmar Barbosa came out of the goal and Kauan Arantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute Luís Guilherme Carneiro suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Olívio Sampaio's late challenge caught a Lamacre SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olívio Sampaio helped the player get up and apologised. After 70 played minutes Vasco da Gama got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Sampaio. Remo Capixaba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vasco da Gama's Osmar Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauan Arantes in the 83rd minute of play. Kauan Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Remo Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Lamacre SC's Kauan Arantes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osmar Barbosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Lamacre SC's Alberto Siqueira got control of the ball when Kauan de Almeida tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 97 minutes, Jarbas Arantes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lamacre SC and the Vasco da Gama players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 97th minute, Jarbas Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vasco da Gama's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
