Bebeto Terra charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bebeto Terra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bebeto Terra hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute Artur Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Bebeto Terra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jerônimo Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho de Andrade in the 19th minute of play forced Rockers FC's goalkeeper César Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Coiotes Club MZ's Valdo de Salles got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Filipe Viana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Washington Bertassi. Coiotes Club MZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filipe Viana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Rockers FC's César Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Netto in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Filipe Viana dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Washington Bertassi, 2-0. 36 minutes into the game, Jerônimo Brodel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rockers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coiotes Club MZ the free kick. In the 36th minute, Jerônimo Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 37 played minutes, Coiotes Club MZ's Rodriguinho Mendes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper César Chaves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Coiotes Club MZ reached it. After having played for 39 minutes, Ulysses Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coiotes Club MZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulysses Vieira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Artur Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jerônimo Brodel was shown his second yellow card after 46 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 47th minute, Jerônimo Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Víktor Hoffmann made a kick off. If Leopoldo Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Coiotes Club MZ's Bebeto Terra got his second yellow card of the match in the 59th minute. The referee ordered Bebeto Terra off the ground. After 60 played minutes Coiotes Club MZ got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Terra. In the 63rd minute, Ulysses Vieira fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Rockers FC booed when Coiotes Club MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zézinho de Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Rockers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ulysses Vieira came free, but César Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. César Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulysses Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Coiotes Club MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Víktor Hoffmann came free, but Washington Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulysses Vieira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but César Chaves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rockers FC's goalkeeper César Chaves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. César Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulysses Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulysses Vieira in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg César Chaves saved Rockers FC from getting behind. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coiotes Club MZ's goalkeeper Washington Bertassi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 88 minutes into the game, Romário Secco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coiotes Club MZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rockers FC the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Rockers FC's zone, Ulysses Vieira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. César Chaves came out of the goal and Ulysses Vieira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rockers FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
