After a rather tough play, Coiotes Club MZ's Zézinho de Andrade got a free kick in the 5th minute. In the 9th minute, Bebeto Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, FLAMONT FC.'s Oswaldo Ribeiro tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Fabrício Terra sped through Coiotes Club MZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Washington Bertassi. Ulysses Vieira might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Paulo Marques. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ulysses Vieira ran back to his position shaking his head. Nico Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Washington Bertassi made a huge save. Fabrício Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Washington Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdo de Salles during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The long shot by Romário Sabóia in the 30th minute really tested Washington Bertassi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Washington Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrício Terra in the 31st minute of play. After 32 played minutes FLAMONT FC. got a freekick which was hit by Breno Arantes. In the 34th minute Artur Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paulo Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 40th minute of the match Valdo de Salles completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Valdo de Salles a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of FLAMONT FC. booed when Coiotes Club MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdo de Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulysses Vieira in the 43rd minute of play forced FLAMONT FC.'s goalkeeper José Paulo Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ulysses Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Coiotes Club MZ's Washington Bertassi got control of the ball when Nico Abreu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabrício Terra made a kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Coiotes Club MZ's goalkeeper Washington Bertassi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nico Abreu in the 54th minute of play forced Coiotes Club MZ's goalkeeper Washington Bertassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Washington Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico Abreu in the 56th minute of play. After 57 minutes, Bebeto Terra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coiotes Club MZ and the FLAMONT FC. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Coiotes Club MZ's Bebeto Terra got a free kick in the 57th minute. Nico Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Washington Bertassi having to interfere. If Ulysses Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the game, Coiotes Club MZ's Romário Secco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Paulo Marques made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Fabrício Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Washington Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulysses Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FLAMONT FC.'s José Paulo Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulysses Vieira in the 81st minute of play. Ulysses Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Washington Bertassi came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by FLAMONT FC.'s Nico Abreu. But to his dismay, Nico Abreu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. If Ulysses Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulysses Vieira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 92nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.
