With a little luck, Liberteide FC's Enrique Cardozo got control of the ball when Platon Losada tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baracaja FC's Júnior Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willian Abraão in the 31st minute of play. Platon Losada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the game, Platon Losada cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Enrique Cardozo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Platon Losada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baracaja FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Platon Losada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Cardozo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Platon Losada struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Enrique Cardozo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baracaja FC. In the 47th minute Chico Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júnior Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When Baracaja FC's Platon Losada in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Liberteide FC's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Baracaja FC's Júnior Baiano got control of the ball when Willian Abraão tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute, Willian Abraão fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Alessandro Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Enrique Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Rezende in the 65th minute of play. Chico Paraíba hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Pedro Augusto Esteves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Baracaja FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Gert Vennerkvist struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Enrique Cardozo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baracaja FC. Gert Vennerkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enrique Cardozo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. If Gert Vennerkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dário Mesquita was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Liberteide FC's Chico Paraíba got a free kick in the 80th minute. After 81 played minutes Baracaja FC got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro da Fonseca. Júnior Baiano acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 83rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ronaldinho Coutinho. Willian Abraão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Júnior Baiano made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Gert Vennerkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baracaja FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gert Vennerkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Cardozo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enrique Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gert Vennerkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Platon Losada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Enrique Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gert Vennerkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Baracaja FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
