In the 25th minute, Juvenal Zanette got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juvenal Zanette to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Roberto Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timaneira's Edmundo Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Sarmento in the 60th minute of play. But to his dismay, Samuca Sarmento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 84 minutes into the match, Timaneira's goal looked a bit too open when Juvenal Zanette came free, but Edmundo Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Samuca Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
