The goalkeeper, Magno Jacinto, was totally fooled by ILHA COMPRIDA SP CF's Gero Mitos, who 41 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Belmiro Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Cardoso in the 45th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stancho Hadzhiminev to make the kick off.
