An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Valadares in the 42nd minute of play forced Piquete AD's goalkeeper Kaká Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Piquete AD booed when Mariano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
