The audience thought a goal was coming when José Vítor Britto got free with Filipe Esteves in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 23 played minutes Christina FC got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo de Alcântara. Alan de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademir Recife having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, José Vítor Britto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filipe Esteves was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 45th minute, Francisco de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco de Queiroz was the one to do the kick off. Nico Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ademir Recife made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Alan de Almeida sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Talvez Venceremos FC's Ademir Recife got control of the ball when Jaime Mesquita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Talvez Venceremos FC's Ademir Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thiago da Mata in the 62nd minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Talvez Venceremos FC's goalkeeper Ademir Recife had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alan de Almeida. Talvez Venceremos FC's Ademir Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thiago da Mata in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Donato Vides had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filipe Esteves. Christina FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donato Vides was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Christina FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
