Donato Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfredo Magalhães having to interfere. In the 11th minute José Vítor Britto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfredo Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ademir Recife made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Pedrão Varela sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 15 minutes, Donato Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Talvez Venceremos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manfredo Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Vítor Britto, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Varjoia's Lúcio de Andrade got a free kick in the 23rd minute. José Vítor Britto struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Manfredo Magalhães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talvez Venceremos FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Vides in the 29th minute of play forced Varjoia's goalkeeper Manfredo Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Lúcio de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Varjoia's supporters rose to their feet, but Lúcio de Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ademir Recife breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ademir Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiro Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Pedrão Varela had to leave the field with a concussion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tarcisio Vianna during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Varjoia a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Arlindo Urbano, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Talvez Venceremos FC's Ademir Recife. 1-0. Donato Vides scored 1-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manfredo Magalhães, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 43 minutes into the match, Varjoia's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Britto came free, but Manfredo Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Varjoia's Manfredo Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Vides in the 66th minute of play. Donato Vides's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manfredo Magalhães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Ademar Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, José Vítor Britto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manfredo Magalhães. Varjoia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Vítor Britto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by José Vítor Britto got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Donato Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Manfredo Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erasmo Paraíba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Ademar Vale in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Talvez Venceremos FC's Tarcisio Vianna. José Vítor Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Varjoia getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Geovanni Soares hit a great ball. The Varjoia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Talvez Venceremos FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
