The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Caputera's goal looked a bit too open when Wesley Rocha came free, but Hermínio de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alfredo Galvão came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Caputera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Galvão couldn't finish the play. In the 47thth minute of the game Wesley Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caputera's Hermínio de Alcântara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wesley Rocha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
