After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Nestor Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. EmeDois's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson Terra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nelson Terra came out of the goal and Ruy Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Paulo Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Ruy Miranda didn't quite understand what happened when in the 42 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dino Ortiz made a kick off. Edvaldo Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Branco in the 53rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Estrema's zone, Ramón Hoffmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelson Terra came out of the goal and Ramón Hoffmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ramón Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
