But to his dismay, Fernandinho Lira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Ideal FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Haroldo Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Lira in the 15th minute of play. Percy Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Rezende having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Teodoro Godoi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emílio Brito. That made the score 1-1 in the 28 minute of play. Cássio Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Percy Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute.
